Hey there....Scottie and I were talking about having zils 'n tea some afternoon....I was thinking Saturday October 15th at my house in North Oakland. Anyone interested?
By the way, Zils 'n tea: a gathering of dancers to practice zils and drink tea! (or your beverage of choice...although I hate to picture drunken zil playing....)
I have Jamila's zil cd that I"ve been practing with and it's working wonders. I'd also like to choreograph and learn new moves to go with certain zil patterns, so anyone who wants to work on that is welcome!

call 510-654-6567 for directions--it's about 5 blocks from macArthur BART if you're doing pubtrans.
Bring zils and a potluck tea snack--I'll provide the tea fixins!

I'm not going to the desert, so I think I can come after all. (A silver lining!) Have you heard from Scottie? I think she might not be getting online much 'cause her new job is occupying lots of her time.
Does anyone have Solace's "Rhythm of the Dance"? It's a little dull to listen to, but it has lots of different rhythms, identified, and might be cool to play along with. I used to have a copy, but I can't find it.
