June 18th?

Hey all,
Since we're already having a big Solstice Party on the 19th at our spot, we were thinking that the 18th might be great for the hafla SINCE
#1) It's an awesome place to camp out
#2) We just got a huge industrial range/oven/griddle so if anyone wants to stay over I will be making my famous stuffed french toast and other breakfast delights the next morning.
#3) The Molehill Orchestra from Tucson will be arriving sometime on that evening. They will be playing on the 19th. They play great gypsy flavored music and might be into joining in...

Does anyone know any live musicians who might be into joining us?

Sorry my posting is so sporadic, but I got tired of paying for an internet connection that I use just for email!

    That sounds great. I was really hoping for the 18th 'cause it's already the only Saturday in June I have left free!

      So I think we should do belly dancing while the sun is still up since it can get a bit nippy (and sometimes breezy) when the sun goes down. Also, a friend of mine from Mendocino wants to come down that night and DJ. I was thinking we could hafla up on the hill in the trees in the afternoon, then come back down to the ranch and bbq and eat, then do fire and "woo hoo" dancing there in the evening (it is a bit more sheltered from the wind). I think there will be a good amount of people coming out for the evening dealio. Also, if anyone wants to actually do a more formal performance (like with a real non-bellydancing audience) either Saturday or Sunday evening, let me know.

      Please feel free to invite your peeps!

      I have this sneaking suspicion it's going to be a great weekend!

      I'll check in again next week....

    Hey Scottie,

    I've started talking to some of the SCA folks, as I said I would. Unfortunately there is an event that weekend! But hopefully maybe not everyone will be going to it.... especially when they hear Falik is coming!
    Could you maybe put together what your general plans are? i.e.,
    Show up around Lunchtime Saturday,
    Dancing in the late afternoon/early evening with Falik,
    Bring meat to grill for dinner,
    Soak in the hot tub and listen to more awesome music,
    Camp out,
    Pancakes in the morning.......etc?
    What are the festivities on Sunday?

      You've got the Saturday plan down. We'll also be doing some fire stuff that evening.
      Sunday is lounging, hiking, eating, then Molehill Orchestra will be playing that evening....

        What's the address of the site? Anything else we should bring with us besides sleeping gear? Water, etc?
